Car Crashes Into Pole
(From Our Own Reporter) GREYMOUTH Nov. 3. Three men were admitted to the Buller Hospital on Friday night with injuries suffered when a ear in which they were riding crashed into a concrete power pole close to the intersection of Stafford street and McKenna's road They are Dennis Franklin, aged 18 (the driver), with leg injuries. Murray G Hume aged 23 injuries to the left arm. and Leon Bernard Palmer, aged 21. abrasions to the face Two other passengers, John A Lorimer, aged 17. and Noel G Marriot. aged 31. received a shaking The car was extensively iamaged and the power pole was broken.
Dr. A Hakendorf. honorary consulting dermatologist at the Roval Adelaide Hospital. arrived in Auckland at ’he week-end to attend the conference of the Dermatological Association of Australis and New Zealand, which will be held at Wairakei.— (P.A.)
