Boys’ Association matches played on Saturday resulted as follows: SENIOR I Shirley Boys’ High School ’44 and 220 (Milne 63, Astle 50, Ormandy 34; Pearse three for 9) beat Christ’s College B 140 and 70 (Roberts four for 7) outright. West High School 115 and 127 for eight declared (Williams 60; Goom three for 31) beat Papanui High School 97 and 50 (Knowles five for 18 Williams five for 26) outright. St. Andrew’s 181 for eight declared (Ellis 54) beat Boys’ High School B 138 and 143 for seven (Overend 51, Queree 46) on the first innings. Xavier 164 for eight declared (Nelsen 33 not out; McCracken three for 20 Prusas three for 26) and 33 for three declared beat Cashmere High School 88 (Madrussan three for 20, EUis three for 24) on the first innings. St Bede’s 129 (Henry 35; Grant four for 28) and 41 for two beat Christ’s College A 115 (Hamilton 37. Mathieson 30: Ballinger three for 25, Thwaites three for 25, Blatchord three for 20) and 50 (Thwaites five for 15) by eight wickets.
