QANTAS ORDER
Three Boeing 320 C (N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND. November 3. Qantas has ordered three 320 C Boeing 707 iet aircraft for delivery in 1965. Bigger than the Boeing 707 V-jets in use by the airline, the new machines will bring the company’s fleet to 16. The 320 C order is worth 30,000.000 dollars.
A Qantas spokesman said yesterday the new aircraft were needed to meet expected passenger traffic and cargo growth. Two 320 C jets will be delivered in April, 1966, and the third in September of that year.
