SOIL MOISTURE
The Winohmore irrigation research station reported yesterday that the soil moisture deficit was 211 points, compared with 100 points at the same time last season. When the deficit reaches 200 points, irrigation is regarded as essential. This represents the period when pasture is suffering from definite water shortage. •
