Candidates ihould possess a university defree of at least honours standird and should have a knowledge of modern computing techniques plus practical experience in their applications. The University has a 60K 'card) IBM 1620 computer with loating point hardware. The appointee will be required to lecture in the course eading to the post-graduate liploma in Numerical Analysis uid Automatic Computation, to issist the Officer in Charge of the Computing Centre generally md to carry out research in an appropriate field. The appointee will be a memper of the academic staff with :he status of Lecturer or Senior Lecturer according to qualifilatlons and experience. The current salary ranges are— Lecturer £ A1750-£ A 2450 p.a. Senior Lecturer £ A2450-£ A3OOO p.a., but salaries are at present inder review. Superannuation will be similar to F.S.S.U.
