The Prime Minister, Tunku Abdul Rahman, has said Malaysia is ready to accept Philippines terms for resumption of diplomatic relations should they be "reasonable and honourable.”
Radio Malaysia said today the Prime Minister told a rally at Kota Bahru. Northern Malaya, that Malaysia would take terms from the Manila Government that were “reasonable, and that did not affect Malaysian dignity and honour.” The Deputy-Premier and Defence Minister, Tun Abdul Razak, told reporters today "confrontation” was “not compatible” with the Colombo Plan.
