Two Airlines Merge
(N.Z.PA.-Heater—Copyright) PARIS, Oct. 31. A merger has taken place between the two French independent airline companies. Transports Aeriens Intercontinentaux and Union Aeromaritime de Transports
The new company will be known as Union de Transporta Aeriens, or UTA., with headquarters in Paris and its operating base at Le Bourget airport, Paris. The company operates aix DCB aircraft and 35 pistonengined airliners, and serves 100 cities in 41 countries. Its routes cover 120,000 miles and five continents. The merger has taken place gradually during the last two years and makes the new company one cl the world’s largest indepsr»den< airlines.
