WELENSKY TO FARM
£15,000 Given By Supporters (Special Crspdt. N.ZP.A.) LONDON, October 31. Nearly £15.000 has so far been raised by well-wishers of Sir Roy Welensky, ioside a:.d outside the Central African Federation, to buy him a farm, reported the “Guardien’s” Salisbury correspondent He will retire there when the Federation ends in the new year and his job as Prime Minister is finished.
A target of £25.000 has been set up by the organisers and a holding of 69 acres has been selected on the outskirts of Salisbury. Sir Roy Welensky plans to grow fruit vegetables and flowers and flniWi his book on the rise and fall of the Federation.
