Elderly Woman Assaulted

A 38-year-old man indecently assaulted a 72-ycar-old woman after driving her and a companion home from a cocktail party, the police told the Magistrate’s Court in Hastings today. Before Mr W. A. Harlow, S.M., was lan Desmond Tucker, a workman, who was convicted and remanded for sentence. When Tucker pleaded guilty to indecent aseauk, the police declined to offer evidence on an alternative charge of attempted nape, and this was dismissed for want of prosecution.
