B Begg, of Kirwee. won the Canterbury skeet championship held at the Timaru Gun Club's ground during the week-end. Begg and H. A. Jones, of Albury. who was second, shot possibles of 25. Begg shot another 25 in the shoot-off, and Jones 23.

The sparrow championship was won by W. Bruton, of Timaru. who returned the only possible of 15. Twelve others returned 14. the shoot-off for second place going to H. C. Walker, of Hakataramea.
