Colonel Stig Wennerstroem, in custody on charges of spying for the Soviet Union, has told police how he was able to obtain pills for a suicide attempt, a police spokesman said today. ' Wennerstroem confessed to fooling his guard by pretending to swallow sleeping pills his doctor had prescribed, the spokesman said. Instead, he kept them in his mouth, took them out and saved up a sufficient stock for his suicide bid last Thursday.
