Wrote False Cheques
(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, October 10. A man who lived at his fiancee’s home for a short time stole a cheque book belonging to the girl's mother and wrote several worthless cheques. Detective-Sergeant B. T. N. Hutton said in the Magistrate’s Court today. Peter Francis O’Donnell, aged 24, a workman, who pleaded guilty to 10 charges of false pretences, two of forgery, two of uttering, one of obtaining credit by fraud and one of theft, was convicted on all charges and remanded until Thursday for sentence by Mr W. J. Meade, S.M. The offences involved £BB, said Mr Hutton.
