25 Teams In Tournament (N.Z. Press Association) TIMARU, September 10. The South Island secondary school girls' basketball tournament opened in Timaru today Twenty-four teams are competing in four sections. Section winners will meet in the semi-finals on Thursday morning and the final will be plaved on Thursday afternoon Results of today's games were: Timaru G.H.S., 31, Mairehau HS. 28; Southland G.H.S. 55.
