Entrances Blown In Islands’ Reefs
(From Our Own Reporter) . WEUJNGTON. Sept. 10. After a five-months tour of duty in the Tokelau Islands, a party of Army engineers has completed its assigned tasks of blasting out navigable reef entrances in the coral, and has returned to New Zealand. Lieutenant D W. S Moloney, a son of Mr J. K. Moloney, of Christchurch, who was in command of the party, has requested permission to remain behind to complete the project at Fakaofo, where a reef passage has been opened for the first time. He is expected to return to New Zealand next week.
