Tall TV Mast
A galvanised steel mast of 336 feet is expected to be installed at Woiatairua in the Waiitakere ranges soon as the permanent transmitter for Channel 2, Auckland. Designed and built in Australia, it will replace the present 88-foot. mast. Broadcasting engineers from Auckland and Wellington inspected the Waitakeres site yesterday and discussions have been held with the Ministry of Works in Auckland which will build the foundations. —(P.A.)
