Indoor Bowls Rinks Won By Brooklands
Brooklands won the Canterbury Indoor Bowls Association s championship rinks when it b??* A.N.Z. Bank. 12-4, in the final. The winning team which comprised P. Osborne (skip), J, Boone. Mrs E. Osborne, and Mrs J. Boone, played steadily throughout the tournament, which attracted 205 entries. Results were:— Quarter-finals. P. Osborne beat E. Chaney, 7-4; W. Hocking beat D. Stewart. 11-7; D Cook beat A. Williamson, 8-3; W. Cuttance beat H. Ashworth. 8-2. Semi-finals: Cook beat Cuttance, 6-3- Osborne beat Hocking. 10-2. Final: Osborne beat Cook, 12-4.
