U.S. PLANES IN LAOS
Russia Seeks Inquiry
(N.Z.P.A.-Reuter—Copyright) MOSCOW. Sept. 6.
Russia has called on Britain to join in ordering the Laos International Control Commission to investigate the alleged illegal delivery of United States military aircraft to Laos.
The Soviet draft, addressed to the United States Government, the Laotian coalition Government and the chairmen of the International control Commission, would have the co-chairmen (Britain and Russia) send instructions for such an investigation to the I.C.C. Tass said the message was drafted in connexion with a letter from Prince Souphanouvong, the leader of the pro-Communist Pathet Lao, claiming that the United States had turned over 14 T2B combat planes and ammunition to the Right-wing faction of General Phoumi •Nosavan.
