S. PACIFIC TRAVEL
Australian-N.Z. Joint Plan (N.Z.P.A.-Reuter —Copyright) NEW YORK, September 6. Australian and New Zealand travel promoters last night announced a co-ordin-ated plan to encourage United States tourists to visit the South Pacific. About 100 representatives of major air and shipping lines serving the South Pacific attended a reception at which the plan was announced.
The plan, called "Destination South Pacific,” will be introduced to the American travel industry in New York at a series of travel seminars in 24 American cities, beginning on September 11. The seminars are designed to bring United States travel agents up to date on the tourist possibilities of Australia. New Zealand, Tahiti, Fiji, Samoa, and New Caledonia.
