A-Bomb Offer Denied
PERTH, September 7. Britain's TSR2 bomber would be offered to Australia without nuclear weapons, the British Air Minister (Mr Hugh Fraser) said last night, speaking to reporters at Perth airport. Mr Fraser said Britain was keen for the Royal Australian Air Force to buy the TSR2, but he was not in Australia as a salesman. The main object of his visit was to confer on defence with the Australian Government. In London last week, the “Daily Express” reported that Britain would offer Australia nuclear weapons under certain conditions if she bought the TSR2.
