Stolen Elephant Arrested
COLOMBO. An elephant, stolen five years ago from Wilfred Abeygoonasekera, of Mawanella. was brought to Nuwara Eliya police station on a warrant issued by the Kandy magistrate for its arrest. The police had to spend five days in the jungle to capture the elephant The man suspected of stealing it has not yet been found. —Reuter.
