CHEAPER EGGS
(N.Z. Preaa Aeaociatton) WELLINGTON, September 8 A seasonal reduction in egg prices on the basis of 6d a dozen standard grade is announced by the New Zealand Egg Marketing Authority. Hie reduction takes effect tomorrow. In the list below, retail prices for large, standard and medium grade hen eggs are for cartoned eggs, loose eggs in these grades being Id a dozen cheaper. Retail prices for pullet and mixed hen eggs and for ducks eggs are for loose sales. The new prices are:—
Canterbury and Otago.— Large 4b 4d. standard 4s, medium 3s sd. pullet 2s 7d. mixed 3b Bd, targe duck 3s Bd, small duck 3s. mixed duck 3b 6d Nelson and Marlborough.— Large 4s 6d. standard 4s 2d. I medium 3s 7d, pullet 2s 9d. [mixed 3s lOd. large duck 3s lOd, small duck 3s 3d. mixed duck 3s Bd. Westland.— Large 4s fld. standard 4s 2d, medium 3s 7d. pullet 2s 7d, mixed 3s lOd. large duck 3s Bd. small duck 3s Id, mixed duck 3« fld,
