Sex Before Marriage
Sir, —What a st ream of pious platitudes we were subjected to toss morning in toe ; letters under toss heading. . By making toe moot restnc- [ live, and theiefore bigoted I meaning at toe word, they would imply that, no matter how we are baptised, or circumcised and confirmed. ue should have no sex until we are married. And anything outside of this is mean, dirty, filthy, lustful and beastly. What a "beautiful” ! way to postulate their piouelycliaiiimed virtue and chastity in a “Christian” dispensation. Such people cannot see they are defeated in themselves.—Yours, etc., R. M THOMSON. September 6. 1963.
Sir, —Much has been written and will be written on this subject, but the whole issue of sex is too much publicised in trashy magazines, and some newspapers, too. and as it is a sacred affair between man and woman the less publicity given, the sooner it will be less talked about and put back in its right perspective. Humans seem to be the most debased of all animals in this regard, and I often think if God had stopped creating on the fifth day, and overlooked the creating of humans, an awful tot of trouble would have been averted. If young people were thoroughly taught in toe schools toe teachings of Moses on these matters it would be a significant factor in reducing offences and pre-maritai experiments.—Yours, etc.. OLD SPARK September 6. 1963.
