World-Class Foursomes

The success overseas of R. J. Charles continues to please his many New Zealand admirers. Charles, in the coming week-end. will be taking part in what has been described as a world championship against Arnold Palmer, Jack Nicklaus and Julius Boros.

He will then fly to Los Angeles for a further television match, in which he will be partnered by Bruce Crampton (Australia), with Palmer and Gary Player (South Africa) as their opponents.

Charles will fly to New Zealand after this match, and will play in the Caltex tournament at Para para urn u —an event he has won for the last two years—and in the Waltie’s £l5OO tournament at Hastings which precedes it Charles could not take part in the Wills Classic being played at Russley at present, but the sponsors received a cablegram from him wishing the tournament success.
