Charter Plane Crashes

A.-Reuter—Copyright) NAIROBI, September 5 A charter aircraft flying from Dar-es-Salaam to pick up Dr. Kenneth Abrahams and other South African refugees in Bechuanaland, crashed at Mbeya, Southern Tanganyika, today. A week ago an East African Airways charter aircraft waiting at Francistown to carry the refugees Arthur Goldreich and Harold Wolpe, to Tanganyika was destroyed by fire before taking-off Sabotage was suspected. One of the aircraft’s twin engines failed. In the crashlanding a propeller was smashed and the aircraft severely damaged. The pilot was unhurt.
