CATTLEMEN TO VISIT

Partv From U.S. An official party from the American National Cattlemen's Association will arrive in New Zealand on September 4 on a five-day visit The party will be headed by the president of the association, Mr Cushman S. Radebaugh, and will include officers of the association and of State cattlemen's associations. They will later tour in Australia and meet members of New Zealand and Australian meat boards at Brisbane on September 26 and 27. The party will comprise 17 persons. Some of the visitors will be accompanied by their wives. A similar meeting to the one planned in Australia was held last October in Denver, Colorado, when representatives of the New Zealand Meat Board and the Australian Meat Board conferred with representatives of the American National Cattlemen's Association on matters of common interest. While in New Zealand the American party will visit beef-producing areas in the North Island, including Gisborne, Hawke's Bay and the Wairarapa. The party will arrive in Auckland at midday on September 4, visit Rotorua on September 5, Gisborne on September 6, Napier and Hastings on September 7, Masterton on September 8 and Wellington on September 9 before leaving for Sydney on September 10.
