Nelson Better In Mud (N.Z. Press Association) PAHIATUA, August 20. The Nelson representative Rugby team beat Bush, 17-0, in a mud bath at Pahiatua today Rain fell for almost all of the match and it was not long before play was confined mainly to the forwards. L. Bishop took the ball well in the line-outs and M. Delany played an almost faultless game at full-back for Nelson. He kicked 11 of his team’s points His opposite number, I. McHardie. also played well. Nelson had territorial advantage, especially in the second half, and looked the more workmanlike team. Nelson's points came from tries by P. de Nicolo and M. Meechange, and Delany kicked three penalty goals and one conversion.
