MISS F. I. BROAD
The death has occurred of Miss Frances Isabella Broad, elder daughter of the late Mr C. F. A. Broad and Mrs Ida Ann Broad, and a granddaughter of the late Mr Charles Broad, magistrate and goldfields warden. Mr C. F. A Broad was for many years manager of the National Bank at Greymouth Miss Broad was also a member of the staff of the same bank in 1914 when she joined the staff to relieve the labour shortage brought about by the war. She found time to further the war effort in numerous other ways. Later Miss Broad was transferred to New Plymouth where between 1939-1945 she was a member
of the Patriotic Society committee. Miss Broad was well known in music circles both in Greymouth ana New Plymouth as a talented accompanist. She was also a member of National Party committees in Greymouth and Christchurch. She is survived by a brother, Mr C. V, N. Broad, of Levin, and a younger sister, Miss Dorothy Broad, of Riccarton.
