Seven Goals To New Brighton
Scoring five goals in the second half. New Brighton defeated Thistle, 7-2, at Timaru on Sunday in the annual home-and-away fixture for the Fraser Cup. A trio of under 20’s made an impressive debut in the New Brighton forward line—J. Dohmen, at centre. G. Spiers, at left-wing, and A. de Vere, at right-wing. Scorers for New Brighton were Dohmen (2), R. Horne (2), J. Proost, Spiers (penalty), and P. Mariey.
