DIVIDEND FRACTIONS
Exact Amount 4 Not Available’ (Parliamentary Reporter) WELLINGTON, Aug. 20. The Minister of Internal Affairs (Sir Leon Gotz) told Parliament today that he was not able to give accurate information on the sum received by the Totalisator Agency Board from fractions in 5s doubles dividends. The survey for the last year on the T.A.B. operations showed that fractions on 5s dividends amounted to about £lO,OOO. out of a total of £29,463,500 handled by the board. Mr P. Blancihfleld (Opp. Westland) asked for this information. Dividends are paid out tc the nearest sixpence and the fractional amounts are retained by racing cb'bs and the T.A.B.
