THE FORMER FRENCH PRIME MINISTER, Mr Georges Bidault, greeting his wife in the Customshouse at Rio de Janeiro after her arrival in Brazil from Europe. It was their first meeting for 15 months. Mr Bidault, the former French Secret Service chief, refused to discuss any future plans, but indicated that his wife's arrival did not mean he was planning to stay indefinitely. He has been in Brazil since April. “We will see,” he said, when asked if he planned to return to France and resume his opposition to President de Gaulle.
