Three Hurt When Car Falls 170ft
(N.Z. Press Association) WANGANUI, August 18. Three persons were admitted to the Wanganui Hospital last night after their car left the road at the top of Poll Green's hill, Marton, and fell 170 feet. They are Anthony Ling, aged 20 of Waipuna road. Mount Wellington, Auckland, who has head lacerations: Michael Sullivan, aged 20, also of Waipuna road, who is suffering from shock: and Miss Patricia Helleur, aged 18, of Jellicoe street, Otahuhu, also suffering from shock. The ’ car failed to negotiate a bend at the top of the hill, crashed through a fence and over the steep bank. The car was wrecked.
