TIME-TABLE CHANGES
Cashmere-Papanui Bus Service
The frequency of tlhe Cash-mere-Paipanui bus route will be amended in the next timetable alteration, in September, a meeting of the Chiristchuroh Transport Board was told yesterday. The information was- contained in a report from the board’s works and traffic committee. The report said the general manager (Mr J. F. Fardel!) had reported the passenger- loading counts on the route showed it was possible to amend tihe time-table and reduce the mileage, but still give sufficient coverage to meet passenger demand. From September, on Fridays from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. tihe frequency will be nine minutes instead of the present eight minutes. On Saturdays, from the start of the service until noon, the frequency will be 30 minutes, from noon to 1.45 p.m. as at present, and from 1.45 p.m. to 4.30 p.m.. 20 minutes. From 4.30 p.m. to 7.45 p.m. the frequency will be as at present, and from 7.45 p.m to the last bus the frequency will be 30 minutes.
