Langford four for 41) by an innings and 94 runs. Somerset. 10 points At Lord’s: Middlesex 250 for eight declared (P. Parfitt 50) v Glamorgan 40 for three. At the Oval: Surrey 225 for nine declared (J Statham seven for 96) and 41 for one. Lancashire nine for 229 declared (P Lever 50 not out) At Portsmouth: Hampshire 306 for seven declared (J. Livingstone 56, P. Sainsbury 52, D White 58 not out) Essex 159 for five (T. Bailey 75 not out, W Greensmith 59 not out). At Cheltenham: Gloucestershire 104 and 126 for three (R Nicholls 54 not out), Worcestershire 217 (T Graveney 58, R Booth 63)
