Tax Appeals Allowed
(Parliamentary Reporter i WELLINGTON, August 16 The Taxation Board of Review has wholly allowed 15 of the 109 cases it has heard concerning objections to discretionary powers exercised by the Commissioner of Inland Revenue (Mr F. R. Macken). Thirty-four cases wer* partly allowed. The Minister of Finance (Mr Lake), gave this reply to Mr J. B. Gordon (Government, Clutha) in Parliament today.
He said the board had heard 188 of tlie 378 case* put before it since it was established in 1960. Sixty-eight cases had been withdrawn.
