(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Aug. 16. Mr E L. Sincock, chairman of the Wellington branch of the Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, agreed today that according to veterinarians fire-branding was no more painful for a weanling than it was for a yearling. While the society would prefer lip-tattoing, it accepted the opinion that a minimum of temporary pain was inflicted by fire-brand-ing when the operation was performed with skill by an experienced operator.
