118 SHEEP STOLEN
(N.Z. Press Association) TIMARU, August 9. About 118 Romney crossbred ewes valued at about £6OO were reported to the Timaru C. 1.8. today as having been stolen from a paddock on the property of William Derek Orbell, the Levels, between April and July. The ewes were pre-lamb shorn when placed in a paddock on April 2 after crutching. They were large-framed ewes ranging from fourtooth to full mouth and were ear-marked with a tip off the right ear and a slit down the centre. Each carried an age tag in red plastic on the left ear with "Levels” stamped on it
