TWO SPECIAL STAMPS
Centennial Of Railway (N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON., August 9. Old and modern railway engines will be featured on a special stamp issue which will commemorate the centennial of the New Zealand Railways, the Director-Gen-eral of the Post Office (Mr J. P. Darnell) announced today. Two stamps—■the 3d and the Is 9d—will be placed on sale on Monday. November 25. It is proposed .to withdraw the stamps from sale on February 28 next year.
A distinctive date stamp will be used to cancel philatelic mail posted on the date of the issue at the Christchurch Railway Pest Office.
