FISH FOR AUST.
Kaitoke Loads At Timaru (N.Z. Press Association) TIMARU, August 9. When the Kaitoke left Timaru last night she carried 30 tons of fish fillets in her freezers for the Australian market. It was the first time a vessel had been directed to the port solely for the purpose of taking on a cargo of frozen fish. Included in the consignment, which was valued at £6OOO, were flounders and sole for the hotel trade. 12ounce consumer packs for a large chain store, and assorted gurnard and tarakihi packs for Australian wholesalers.
