Presentation At Darfield
Moving from the district after being a resident tor 34 years. Mrs A Bringans was bidden farewell by friends at a social afternoon held at Darfield recently. Associated with many organisations in the district over the years, Mrs Bringans had taken an active part in the life of the community, said Mrs J. Blamares, presenting a cheque and picture to Mrs Bringans. ' A gift was presented on behalf of the Darfield Women's Division of Federated Farmers by Mrs W. Kay, who thanked Mrs Bringans for her active membership. The president of the Darfield Garden Club (Mirs R. Burrows) presented a rose bush to Mrs Bringans. During the afternoon items were given by Miss N. Mulholland, Mesdames F. Bridge anti R. Carpenter.
