Beath’s Shares Rise 3s To Two-Year Peak
Beath’s shares, which have risen steadily on quotation since last business at 35s on June 13, changed hands at 38s in Christchurch yesterday. This is their highest price since 1961. Felt and Textiles rose Is and North Shore Motors, in first business since May 6, rose 2s. Other rises were mainly minor. For the first time in many weeks, there were more falls than rises by New Zealand shares. The leaders shared in this easier trend, but all falls were of minor proportions. Small price movements by overseas issues were mainly upward.
