Miss E. J. Pullin’s Win

Miss E. J. Pullin, who on Saturday won the women's bracelet and shared the women’s Rouble® title at the West Coast open table tennis championships. last evening won the second grade women’s singles and mixed doubles events at the Canterbury lower-grade championships. Miss Pullin, whose play is mainly defensive, was rarely tested, and won the final easily against Miss D Bates. A surprise entry in the B grade singles championship was the former Canterbury cricket and soccer representative. J. A. Harliwich, who has not played serious table tennis tor many years. He reached the semifinals before being eliminated L. Vermes, who Is nearly 60 years of age, surprised his younger rival with a wellmerited win in the B grade singles final against another experienced player. H. Taylor.
