Discharged At Re-hearing
(N.Z. Press Association) INVERCARGILL July 24. A man who last week was sentenced to two months’ imprisonment for unlawfully taking a bicycle, was discharged by Mr J. K. Patterson. SM. after a re-hearing of the case in the Magistrate’s Court at Invercargill today. He was John Dudley Jenkins, aged 24, unemployed. Fresh evidence supplied today was a statement made to the police by Jernes Torrance Gill a ma* sorter. He said he had seen a bicycle lying on the pavement in EUes road shortly before Jenkins was arrested There was no-one about at the tame.
