PUBLICNOTICES ELLESMERE COUNTY COUNCIL LINCOLN SEWERAGE LOAN, 1963. £35.000 'IT is hereby publicly notified that the Ellesmere County Council at a Special Meeting held in the Council Chambers. Leeston. on Thursday, July 18. 1963. passed the following resolution. That in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by "The Counties' Act, 1956. '■ and "The Local Authorities' Loans Aot, 1956." and all amendments thereto and any other acts in that behalf enabling, the Ellesmere County Council by virtue of the sanction of the Local Authorities' Loans Board granted at a meeting of the Board held on June 25. 1963. hereby resolves as follows: Hi That the Ellesmere County Council proceed to raise a loan of £35,000 for the purpose of providing a Public Sewerage Scheme in the Lincoln Township. (2) That such loan be known as the “Lincoln Sewerage Loan, 1963" (3) That the term for w’hich the said loan or any part thereof may be borrowed shall be thirty years. i 14) That the rate of interest that may be paid in respect of the said loan or any part thereof shall be such as shall not produce to the lender or lenders a rate or rates exceeding five and three eighths per cent, per annum. (5) That the said loan or any part thereof together with interest thereon shall be repaid by equal aggregate annual or half yearly instalments extending over the term of the loan, namely thirty years. (6) That the payments of all such instalments shall be made in New Zealand and no such instalments shall be paid out of loan money. (7) That the rate payable for brokerage in respect of the raising of the loan or any part thereof shall not exceed one half per cent, of any amount raised. (8) That the Council doth hereby appropriate and pledge as security for the repayment of the said loan and the charges theron a special rate of two and one quarter pence (2jd) in the £ on the rateable value (on the basis of the Capital Value) on all rateable properties comprised within the Lincoln Sewerage and Drainage area as defined by special order confirmed on the 18th day of February. 1933, by the Springs County Council. (9i That no money shall be borrowed under the sanction after the expiration of three years from the date thereof. Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act. 1956, it is hereby publicly notified that the foregoing resolution will be submitted to the ordinary meeting of the Ellesmere County Council to be held in the Council Chambers, Leeston. at 10.30 a.m. on Monday, August 19. 1963. for confirmation as a Special Order. It is hereby further publicly notified that a poll of ratepayers is required to be taken if 5 per cent, of the Ratepayers of the Lincoln Sewerage and Drainage area so demand by writing under their hands delivered or sent by post to the undersigned before the date fixed for the confirmation of the foregoing resolution. Fendalton. on Thursday, July 18. 1963. passed the following resolution 1. That in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by' the Counties Act. 1956. the "Local Authorities Loans Act. 1956" and all amendments thereto and all other Acts (if any) enabling it in that behalf, and by virtue of the sanction of the Local Authorities Loans Board granted, at a meeting of the Beard held on the 25th June. 1963, the Council proceed to raise, in New Zealand a loan of £lO,OOO for the purpose of reconstructing and sealing roads and constructing and reconstructing kerbing and channelling in the Belfast Riding. 2. That such loan be known as the Belfast Riding Works Loan. 1963 £ 10,000/hereinafter referred to as the "said loan." 3. That the term for which the said loan or any part thereof may be borrowed shall not exceed ten years. 4. That the rate of interest that may be paid in respect of the said loan or any part thereof, shall be such as shall not produce to the lender or lenders a rate exceeding five and three eighths (£5 7s 6d) per cent per annum. 5. That the said loan shall be repaid by annual redemption of debentures or stock 6. That the payment of interest and the repayment of principal in respect of the said loan shall be made in New Zealand and no amount payable as either interest or principal shall be paid out of loan monies. 7. That the rate payable for brokerage in respect of the raising of the said loan or any part thereof shall not exceed one-half per cent, of any amount raised. 8. That no moneys shall be borrowed under this sanction after the expiration of three years from the date of the Order-in-Council consenting to the raising of the loan. 9. That the Council doth hereby appropriate and pledge as security for the repayment of the said loan and the charges thereon a Special Rate of 1525723 d (pence) to the £ (pound) on the rateable value (on the basis of capital value, of all rateable properties within the Belfast Riding. 10. That the form of security for the repayment of principal and interest on the said lean shall be by means of debentures of £lOO. £5OO and £lOOO denominations, and interest coupons in conformity with the “Local Authorities Loam Act. 1956' or by Registered Stock Pursuant to the "Local Authorities Leans Act, 1956." It Is Hereby Further Publicly Notified that the foregoing resolution will be submitted to an ordinary meeting of the Waimairi County Council to be held in the Council Chambers. Fendalton, at 7.30 pm. on Thursday, August 15. for confirmation as a Special Order.
