AUCKLAND, July 23. Teen-age marriages may not >e as bad as people think, acceding to two visiting American evangelists, Dr. J. I. Denman and Dr. J. M. ?otts. who arrived in Auckland ' yesterday. Many Americans were married while they were at college, some while still at high school, said Dr. Denman. “But their parents would rather they were married than running around at nights,” he said. Dr. Denman said couples underwent more strain when they were courting than when they were married. “When a courting couple has a quarrel, it can last for weeks, but a married couple make it up that night,” he said. “It has been proved in the United States that married students concentrate
>etter and get higher grades han unmarried students. Of :ourse. some are divorced in wo or three years, but most ire strong, lasting marriages.” Dr. Potts said his daughter vas married to a college student. She had just had her second child.
