Risingholme To Enlarge Theatre
Risingbolme Community Centre had reached a point where it was difficult to include new classes because of a Lack of space, states a recent report from the centre. Plans for expansion include the increasing of the theatre seating capacity to at least 200, and the enlarging of the acting area of the stage to accommodate any type of play or musical show the centre’s groups may wish to perform. To help raise funds for the work, a fete will be held on October 5, when a wide variety of goods made by various class-members will be on sale.
The centre is at present running special film programmes for children once a f ortnight. on Saturdays. These programmes, approved by the Children’s Film Foundation, will continue until September 21.
