“She’ll Be Quietly Confident”
(New Zealand Press Association)
WELLINGTON, July 23.
A personal definition of “she’ll be right” was given by Mr I. F. Sloane (Government, Hobson) during the Budget debate tonight.
He admitted that perhaps not every New Zealander would agree with it.
“To be ’she’ll be right’ means firm determina-
tion, quiet confidence, full realisation of what is to be done and firm resolve to get it done,’ he said.
Mr Sloane said the Leader of the Opposition (Mr Nordmeyer) had described the Budget as typical of the “she'll be right’’ attitude of the Government.
“I accept the term,” he said.
