VIETNAM VILLAGE DESTROYED.—A Vietnamese mother, clutching two small children, flees from her burning home as South Vietnamese rangers attack and wipe out the village about 60 miles from Saigon. The village was a supply depot for a unit of Viet Cong guerrillas. Homes and food were destroyed. Only women, children, and old men were in the village when the rangers arrived.
