One-Act Plays At Aranui
The Aranui Little Theatre will present three one-act plays, all entries in the British Drama League Festival, in the assembly hall of the Aranui High School on the evenings of August 2 and 3. They are: “The Trap.” a “kitchen-sink” type of play by New Zealand writer. Kathleen Ross, produced by George Milburn.
“The Ghost of Edward Albert,” a comedy, by Christchurch playwright, Harold Pointer, produced by Gordon Searle.
"The Mask,” produced by Arthur Penver. The group's plans also Include a revue to be directed by Alex Aitchison foe presentation on September 27 and 28. after which it will tour hospitals and old people's homes. A Nativity play for presentation at the end of the year at St. Chad’s Church is also planned. This will be directed by Hunter Bell.
