BURNSIDE, one of the most progressive Rugby clubs, now distributes its own club news letter to more than 400 members of its 18 teams. This photograph shows the club captain, Mr S. Harris, distributing the news letter to the under 7st team. With him is the coach, Mr B. Chapman, on left The Burnside Club has extended its membership to 18 teams in the five years since it was established, and membership is increasing steadily. Boys' membership comes from a number of schools, including Burnside. Fendalton, Bam, Wairakei, Kendal, Burnside High, and Bishopsdale schools. The under 7st side was beaten for the first time this season on Saturday in the match with Merivale, which won 6-9.
