Mr Holyoake Explains

WELLINGTON, July 22.
The Prime Minister (Mr Holyoake) tonight told Ute National Party * annual conference that for the first 18 months of its present term, the Government’s policy had been “steady does it." “That has brought us to smoother waters and the sails are now set steadily," he said.
For the next year after
that, starting with the 1962 Budget, the policy had been "steadily forward with National," he added.
And now, after the 1963 Budget. Mid the Prime Minister, the policy was "forward with National at a steadily-Increasing pace.” Mr Holyoake’s words were greeted by prolonged applause by the 306 delegates.
